But if you want to own a franchise, be prepared to hand over a serious investment. They are very expensive to purchase and you must show that you have your financial house in order before you every get a chance to buy. In addition, your business is directed tied to the success of the chain as a whole. Finally, many entrepreneurs balk at the ready-made marketing and advertising, as it leaves very little scope for personalization.

Both of these business models offer an income opportunity for the savvy entrepreneur. But they do come with their own sets of problems. Before signing on for either, make sure you understand what’s expected of you, and if you can afford to make that level of commitment.

Multi Level Marketing is not the best homebased business for the average person, I’m not sure how many people looking to start the own home business is aware of this.
